Compare with a sweater you already enjoy wearing
Lay a similar garment flat without stretching it. Compare chest width, body length and sleeve length using the same measuring points as the product information. Body measurements and garment measurements are not interchangeable; a flat chest width is not a body chest circumference.
Ask for measurements for the exact model when these are not provided. A general conversion chart cannot establish the fit of every design. Sleeve measurements starting at the shoulder cannot be compared directly with measurements starting at the centre back of the neck.
Try the intended base layer and assess the neckline, chest, sleeves and hem separately. If you are between sizes, compare the proportions rather than automatically choosing the smaller or larger option. Do not rely on shrinking or stretching to correct the fit.

How to measure your reference sweater
Choose a sweater with a similar weight and intended silhouette. Fasten any buttons or zip and lay it flat without stretching.
- Chest width: measure straight across just below the armholes. Record this as a flat width, not a body measurement.
- Body length: measure from the high shoulder point beside the neck to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve length: note your start point. A shoulder-seam measurement and a centre-back-neck measurement are different methods.
- Shoulders: for set-in sleeves, measure between shoulder seams across the back. Raglan and dropped-shoulder designs need a different comparison.
- Hem width: measure the relaxed bottom edge without stretching the ribbing.
Check the fit in movement
Try the intended shirt or T-shirt underneath. Sit down, reach forward and bend your arms. Check the neckline, chest, sleeves and hem separately. Body proportions and trouser rise affect the result as well as height.
Ask about the exact model
If finished-garment measurements are not shown for the model you are considering, contact Subellotti before ordering. Include the product and size, your preferred fit and the measurements of your reference sweater. Measurements for one model should not be assumed to apply to every garment.

A clean Dark Navy half-zip knitted in Umbria, Italy, from 100% extra-fine merino Cashwool® by Zegna Baruffa.
Made for work, travel and relaxed evenings, this half-zip has a compact merino feel, a deep Dark Navy finish and a quiet Italian shape. It is not a loud statement piece. It is the kind of knitwear you wear often because it looks calm, fits easily and works with tailoring, denim or a wool trouser.
Cashwool® by Zegna Baruffa is selected for a refined merino surface, natural comfort and a clean knitted look. The yarn card specifies 100% extra-fine merino wool with a fibre diameter of 19.5 microns. For the customer, the colour code is kept simple: Dark Navy.

This sweater is designed with a clean regular fit: refined enough to wear over a shirt, but not too tight for daily use. Choose your usual Italian size for a classic fit. If you are between sizes or prefer more room through the chest and shoulders, choose the larger size or contact us before ordering.
Size 50 is currently available from stock. For other sizes, we confirm the size or personal measurements before production begins.

How it works
- Place your order in the standard size closest to your usual fit.
- We contact you to confirm your preferred fit and measurements.
- For made-to-order and made-to-measure pieces, production begins only after the size or measurements have been confirmed in writing.
For made to measure, small fit adjustments may be possible for areas such as body length, sleeve length, chest and shoulder width while respecting the original design of the half-zip.
One complimentary remake
If the finished made-to-measure garment does not correspond to the measurements confirmed in writing, we will remake it once at no additional product cost. Contact us within 30 days of delivery. The garment must be unworn apart from trying it on, unwashed, unaltered and returned with its original labels and packaging.
The guarantee does not apply when incorrect measurements were supplied or approved, when the customer’s measurements changed after confirmation, when the requested fit was delivered as agreed, or when the garment was altered, washed, damaged or worn.
Returns
Standard-size garments follow our Return & Refund Policy. Personalised garments are made specifically for one customer and cannot be returned because of a change of mind. This does not affect statutory rights concerning defects or an item that differs from the confirmed order.
Care & maintenance
Merino wool does not need to be washed after every wear. Allow the sweater to air and rest between wears. When washing is needed, follow the garment’s care label. Hand wash only with a mild wool detergent. Do not machine wash. Wash with similar colours. Do not bleach, soak, wring or tumble dry.
Press out moisture gently with a clean towel, reshape and dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight. Store folded, clean and completely dry in a closed garment bag or storage box.
Light pilling can occur with natural wool fibres, especially in areas with friction such as the sleeves, sides and underarms. This is normal for fine wool knitwear and can be removed carefully with a wool comb.
For longer storage, protect the garment from clothes moths by storing it clean, dry and sealed. Check occasionally for small holes, webbing or larvae. Cedar and moth traps may support prevention, but they do not replace clean, closed storage.

Size 50 is currently available from stock. Other sizes are made to order after your selected size or made-to-measure details have been confirmed in writing.
Production starts immediately after payment confirmation. Production takes 15 business days. If there is any delay, we will contact you before continuing.
Shipping
When the order is ready, it is dispatched and a tracking number is added to the order. Shipping options and delivery estimates are shown at checkout and may vary by destination, carrier and customs processing.
Orders to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and destinations in Asia are usually shipped with PostNL. Orders to other European destinations, the United Kingdom and the United States are usually shipped with UPS. Please read our Shipping Policy for the latest shipping information.
Return & exchange
Returns are accepted within 30 days after receipt for standard-size garments. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected. Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.
Personalised made-to-measure garments are produced specifically for one customer and cannot be returned because of a change of mind. This does not affect statutory rights concerning defects or an item that differs from the confirmed order.
