Our standard is simple: publish what we can verify, explain what a customer needs to know and respond personally when something requires attention.
Product facts before adjectives
Composition is the beginning of a product description, not the end. Where information has been confirmed for a garment, its product page may identify the yarn supplier, ply, yarn count, gauge, construction, fit and place of manufacture.
We do not infer technical specifications from appearance or repeat supplier claims across products without confirmation. If a detail is not verified for that garment, we would rather leave it unstated than make the product sound more impressive.
Fit guidance based on the garment
Italian size labels can feel unfamiliar to US customers. Generic conversions are useful only as a starting point because knit structure and intended fit vary by design.
Where finished measurements are available, use them with a comparable sweater you already own. For personal guidance, send us your height, body chest, usual size, preferred fit and the chest width and body length of that sweater.

Natural fibers, honest expectations
Natural-fiber knitwear changes through wear. Friction can produce surface pilling, particularly at the underarms, sides and other contact points. A small amount of pilling does not automatically establish poor quality; unusually severe or persistent pilling deserves a closer assessment.

Clear color and presentation
We aim to photograph products in controlled or natural light and describe colors as precisely as practical. Screens, ambient light and individual perception can still change how a shade appears. If an exact color distinction matters to you, contact us before ordering and we will provide additional guidance or available imagery.
Shipping and duties stated before checkout
US orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery is estimated at 3–7 business days after dispatch via UPS Express Saver, depending on customs clearance. US shipping is complimentary.
Import duties, local taxes, customs fees and carrier handling charges are not included unless checkout explicitly states otherwise. We place this information on our US pages because an international charge should not arrive as a surprise.
Returns without hidden steps
Eligible returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Contact us for approval before sending an item back. Return shipping with tracking to Subellotti in the Netherlands is paid by the customer unless we confirm that the item was incorrect, damaged or defective.

One point of contact when something is wrong
If you believe an item is incorrect, damaged or defective, contact info@subellotti.com. Include your order number, clear photographs, a description of the issue and when it first appeared.
Your message is handled personally. We normally respond within one business day with either a resolution or the next information needed for assessment. Complex cases may require input from the maker or carrier, but Subellotti remains your point of contact.

We do not promise that every complaint will have the same outcome. We do promise to assess the information rather than hide behind a generic description of luxury.
