Products, Materials and Production

Where is Subellotti knitwear made?
All Subellotti knitwear is designed and made in Umbria, Italy. It is produced in small batches by specialist Italian workshops, hand-finished and inspected before leaving the atelier.

Where are Subellotti T-shirts made?
Subellotti T-shirts are designed and made in Italy by specialist Italian manufacturers outside Umbria. The knitwear collection is made separately in Umbria.

Does Subellotti use one yarn manufacturer?
No. Subellotti works with several specialist Italian yarn manufacturers and selects the yarn according to the garment, construction, weight and desired drape. A supplier name is shown only where it is confirmed for that specific product.

Where can I find the exact composition, ply and gauge?
Open the Yarn & Composition section on the product page. Composition, ply, gauge, yarn count and supplier are stated only when confirmed for that garment.

What does Made to Order mean?
If a selected size is offered Made to Order, it is produced for your order in Italy. Made-to-Order pieces are normally dispatched within 5–7 weeks after the applicable production round closes. In-stock pieces are normally dispatched within 1–3 business days.

What does Made to Measure mean?
Made to Measure means the garment is produced to your personal measurements rather than a standard size. After checkout we confirm your measurements in writing and then produce the garment in Italy. Made-to-Measure orders are normally dispatched within 5–7 weeks after measurements are confirmed and the applicable production round closes. See our Made to Measure page for the full process.

Fit and Sizing

How does Subellotti knitwear fit?
Most Subellotti knitwear has a regular fit with a clean Italian shoulder line. Product-specific fit advice appears on every product page because construction and weight can change the drape. The Riposo trousers have a relaxed lounge fit.

How does Italian sizing work?
Most knitwear uses Italian sizes 46 through 60. The exact available size range is shown on each product page. Use the Size Guide for chest, shoulder, sleeve and length guidance.

What should I choose between two sizes?
For most regular-fit knitwear, choose the smaller size for a neater shoulder line. Choose the larger size only when the product page recommends it or when you prefer more room for layering.

Can Subellotti help me choose a size?
Yes. First read our men’s cashmere sweater fit guide, then contact us at info@subellotti.com or through WhatsApp with your height, chest measurement, usual size, preferred fit and measurements from a comparable sweater.

Care

How should I wash Subellotti knitwear?
Hand wash separately in cold water, ideally around 20°C, with a small amount of mild detergent suitable for cashmere or wool. Do not rub, twist, wring or soak. Rinse gently, press out excess water in a clean towel, reshape and dry flat away from heat and sunlight. Do not tumble dry and store folded.

How should I wash a Casa Palermo T-shirt?
Machine wash inside out at a maximum of 30°C with a mild detergent. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Reshape after washing and dry flat or hang immediately. Iron inside out on low heat and avoid direct heat on the embroidery.

Is pilling normal?
Light pilling can occur with natural fibres, especially during the first wears. It is not a sign of poor quality. Remove it gently with a cashmere comb and allow knitwear to rest between wears.

Shipping and Returns

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Available destinations, delivery methods and any shipping charges are shown at checkout. Every shipment includes tracking.

Can I return my order?
Yes. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed and returned in their original condition with all tags attached.

Who pays for return shipping?
Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect because of an error by Subellotti.

When is a refund processed?
Once a return is received and inspected, we will confirm whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days. Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.

United States Orders

How long does delivery to the United States take?
In-stock orders are usually processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery via UPS Express Saver is estimated at 3–7 business days after dispatch, depending on customs clearance. Tracking is sent by email after dispatch.

Is shipping to the United States complimentary?
Yes. Shipping to the United States is currently complimentary. The applicable shipping method and cost are confirmed at checkout.

Are US import duties and taxes included?
Not unless checkout explicitly states otherwise. Import duties, local taxes, customs fees and carrier handling charges may be collected upon or after delivery and are the customer’s responsibility.

How do US returns work?
Contact info@subellotti.com for approval before returning an item. Eligible items must be unworn, unused, tagged and in their original packaging. Return shipping with tracking to Subellotti in the Netherlands is paid by the customer unless Subellotti confirms the item was incorrect, damaged or defective.

Can I get personal US sizing advice?
Yes. Send your height, chest measurement, usual US size and the chest width and body length of a well-fitting sweater to info@subellotti.com. We will recommend the closest match using the product’s Italian size and available garment measurements.
